Bangkok Art and Culture Centre
Because i love art, i plan to see some art at art centre. I visited BACC, Bangkok Art and Culture Centre.
If you into the art, you must visit BACC, it takes 1 -2 hours to see around.
BACC is located at Pathumwan Intersection, facing the MBK and Siam Discovery Centres.
You can see the location here.
We used BTS Sky Train to get here. The BACC 3rd floor entrance is connected to the BTS, the National Stadium Station. Take BTS, and exit at National Stadium, turn left until you see the BACC pillars. You can see their pillars that BACC written on it. Follow the way and enter the building.
Enter the gate and you will see the colourfull painting on the right.
The opening time is 10am – 9pm, and closed on Monday.

When i visited here, there’re some exhibition installed on some floors. I go to every floor by lift.
There’s some exhibition that not allowed to bring DSLR camera, but handphone cam is allowed.
So i must put DSLR camera to the locker on 6th floor. You can take BACC map, some postcard, and exhibiton brochure near the lockers.
The mechanism of the lockers:
1) Put 20 bath to the coin hole (20 bath for one time lock)
2) Put your DSLR camera there
3)
Lock the door with the hanging key
4) Bring the key with you
5) After see the exhibition, unlock the locker to take your camera
These are some exhibition install that i saw:
Resort, on 8th floor
Resort is art exhibiton for Landscape of Rest, by 16 artists.
In the atmosphere of speed for life, slowing oneself down or pausing almost counerbalances current stram of the worlds rapidness. The important of the rest is compromised for various needs, to construct a landscape of self exists in the world at large.
There’s Indonesian artist join in this exhibition, named Akiq AW.
His project name The order of things.
The order of things uses photography to investigate how Indonesian people manage their everyday life problem especially with their limitation on space and natural resources. It tells a story abour human life through th enature they changed, and try to reveal what lies behind all this everyday landscape.
Re-Think – Art of Reduce “Waste” renew “Think”
Six artists participated on this exhibition, placed on 7th floor
From worthless pbjects in piles of trash, six artist have revived the mental-value objects by creating their unique stile of art which represents as another history of recycling. Some artworks are not revived, but the artworks themselves revive, improve, treat, and restore the artists’ feelings, sufferings and even some old mental scars.

Around the BACC
There’s artist that can make sketchs on 2nd floor. He offers you 3 types of sketches:
any price (he will draw on tiny piece paper with pen), charcol for 200 bath, colour for 1500 bath.
He will finish the sketch for 11 minutes
